Every Parkray Aspect Eco wood heater sold in Australia carries a comprehensive manufacturer warranty, on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Your installer will give you the serial number from the rating plate. The form takes about two minutes.

What's covered

  • Firebox: cracks, warping or weld failure caused by manufacturing defect, for 10 years from the date of installation.
  • Steel and cast parts: door, glass, hinges, controls, air washing components, fan (if fitted), for 3 years.
  • Labour: the cost of repair or replacement work for the above, for 2 years, when carried out by your authorised dealer or a tradesperson nominated by us.

What's not covered

The warranty does not extend to:

  • Glass breakage from impact or thermal shock.
  • Wear and tear on consumable parts including baffles, vermiculite firebox lining, rope seals, gaskets, and grates.
  • Damage caused by misuse, overfiring, burning treated timber, painted offcuts, household rubbish, or any fuel other than dry seasoned hardwood.
  • Damage caused by improper installation, including non-compliance with the installation manual or the relevant Australian Standards.
  • Cosmetic finish wear, including paint fade in the firebox cavity caused by normal operating temperatures.
  • Flue components, hearths or surrounds not supplied by Hunter Stoves Australia.
  • Damage caused by floods, fire, lightning, or other acts of nature.

Conditions of the warranty

For the warranty to apply, the heater must:

  • Have been installed by a qualified, licensed installer in accordance with the manufacturer's installation manual and the relevant Australian Standards (AS/NZS 2918 and the New Zealand or Australian state-level requirements that apply to your installation).
  • Have been registered within 30 days of installation.
  • Be used in a domestic dwelling, not a commercial or rental property at scale.
  • Be operated and maintained in accordance with the user manual.

How to make a claim

  1. Contact the authorised dealer who supplied the heater. They handle the first stage of the claim and will inspect the heater on-site.
  2. If you cannot reach the dealer (for example they have closed), contact Hunter Stoves Australia directly and we will assign your claim to another nearby authorised dealer.
  3. Have your installation date, serial number and proof of warranty registration to hand. Photos of the issue help us assess quickly.
  4. We aim to respond to all claims within 2 business days and resolve them within 14 days of inspection.

Your rights under Australian law

The benefits in this warranty are in addition to the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
